The summons and complaint is the pleading which initiates the eviction action in the court.  It is a critical document that must be drafted carefully and served appropriately.  Critical dates are listed on the summons and complaint including the entry date, the answer date and the hearing date.  Special care must be taken in drafting this document because failure to do so can lead to costly delays and complications.
